Henri Cartier Bresson Candid Images

Henri Cartier Bresson was a french photographer who specialty was that of candid photographs. Most of his photographs demonstrate several examples of people living their daily life, whether it be walking down the street or eating at a restaurant. Before becoming a dedicated photographer Bresson was a painter, attending a private art school as well as the Lhote Academy. Since them he traveled all over the world including Africa, England and India. Bresson is most well know for his ability to take photographs at the decisive moment, which adds meaning and depth to the photo, thus making it unique. During his career he also created the Magnum Photo agency. His ability to use the elements of photography and incorporating them to a daily activity is truly what sets him apart from other photographers. His work has been exhibited all over the world including Mexico, New York, and even Madrid. In my opinion I see Henri to be the pioneer of street photography, his candids from all over the world are really fascinating to me since the exemplify such historical value and provide insight to what life was at the time of such important events in history. Henri is truly an inspiration to me.
